Examples of impact

The library service has recently conducted literature searches on:

  • SCI following epidural abscess
  • Tourniquet versus no tourniquet for TKR
  • Mediastinal hematoma secondary to syndesmophyte fracture in ankylosing spondylitis
  • Outcome measures for club feet in children
  • Management of adductor longus rupture

In our impact assessments, over  three quarters of respondents said that the literature search results had informed patient care or treatment

100% of our literature searches are supplied within 3 days, or to a timescale agreed with the user
100% of completed searches were rated as ‘completely or mostly relevant’ to the search request by those who completed a survey

General feedback:
"I have been very impressed with the speed at which these requests have been completed and am very grateful for the support your service provides."
