Programme Accommodation and Facilities

Accommodation

Accommodation for patients attending the programme is in relaxed, homely Garden Cottages within the main hospital site. The maximum number of patients currently resident on each programme is seven.

All bedrooms are single and bed linen is provided.

Shared facilities include bathrooms, sitting rooms and kitchen areas.

Meals

All meals are provided for patients during their stay, with lunch and evening meal taken in Denbighs restaurant. Special diets may be catered for on advanced notice to the hospital kitchen manager.

Pennill Hydrotherapy Pool

The hospital has a state of the art hydrotherapy pool and frequent use of the pool during the programme provides a major contribution to the active sessions offered to patients. Please see the Hydrotherapy Pool page for more information.

Physiotherapy Gym

The physiotherapy gym has two areas, one for floor based exercise and a well equipped fitness suite. Regular use of these areas is also offered to promote confidence to exercise and awareness of the benefits of health and fitness.

Creative Workshop

An area in the occupational therapy department where patients can relax and enjoy artwork, computer work or take on more ambitious woodwork or metal work projects, as part of the activity offered during the programme.

Facilities

There are some shops, a Post Office and a cash machine in the main hospital building. For more information see our Facilities page.

Smoking

The hospital is a smoke free site.
