Signature Behaviours

The Trust has five core values that all staff should be aware of. As a recap, these are set out below:

  • Friendly
  • Caring 
  • Professional
  • Respect
  • Excellence

As part of our culture and leadership programme, called Make The Difference, we set about a piece of work that would start to define exactly what these values mean – and identify behaviours linked to all of them.

A working group came up with a first draft of what these behaviours might look like. All staff were then invited to attend Focus Groups to go through these amendments and comment on what they liked, what they didn’t and what they thought might be missing.

All that feedback has now been collated, and we proudly unveiled these behaviours in November 2018. There are five for each of our values, making up a total of 25 Signature Behaviours.

We called these Signature Behaviours. They are important because they are all about how we work and interact with each other, and care for our patients.
